Dearest Family,

Well, I will be seeing all of you very soon! But before that, I'd like to share my experience...

Well as a person, I don't feel very changed because obviously I love the same things, Sports, family, working hard, Mexican food, etc. In what I like to do there are no changes haha but there are many things that have been added on to the list as well... First off, I have strengthened my testimony in these last 2 years more than any other moment in my entire life. Second,, I've come to know my Savior personally through many prayers and many studies of the scriptures for the spirit that I have felt. Third, I've learned what an Eternal Family is and what we must do to have that family and the importance of a Loving Father. Fourth, That all of these truths that I have mentioned I know them because of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many others things that I have learned and I don't mention here, but I feel like these are the most important  things I can take with me for the rest of my life.

I know that the Lord loves all of us and knows us personally. He sent his son Jesus Christ to die for us so that we might not suffer as he did. The key in not suffering and being able to end up on top is obedience unto the Lord in all things. The other thing is keeping a mind set on the Eternal blessings that we want and doing what we must to gain those blessings. A perspective towards the Eternity. In always choosing the eternal things the Lord will see a pure heart and all other things that we need will be added on to us. I know this is the church of God on the earth because I have asked in humble prayer and have received an answer that it is true. I'm grateful for the mission because it as paved the pathway for the rest of my life. All young men ... and for me personally young women.... should serve missions because it prepares you for the rest of your life. I am very grateful with my Father in Heaven and all he has taught me. I know that by following the spirit in our lives we will take the right decisions. I love this experience. We will see you all soon i also love all of you so much!!! Take Care

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope all is well over there! Over here we are working hard to keep getting stronger. It seems that every week we are playing on the teeter totter....one companionship has a great week and the next is a hard one! What we are doing right now is focusing on having urgency in our work because the more diligent and urgent we are the more success we will have. I'm feeling happy with my mission and am working hard to do my best. We had a pretty good week in our area with some new faces in church. We took a less active member and her son who doesn't know the church. We also took another woman and her 15 year old daughter that's pregnant.....pretty sad to honest but at least now we can teach her the gospel and she can change.

I truly love you all and thank you all for the support!!! I gotta run in 45 minutes I need to be in an English class with another district!!!

Love always,

Elder Hakes
